Who We Are
At BTM Industries, Inc., we take pride in our ability to fulfill customer orders with precision work and on time deliveries. Our employees enjoy being part of a team doing jobs that other people say can’t be done. We accomplish the impossible by hiring extraordinary people and challenging them with rewarding opportunities and careers. As a team, we care for each other like a family, and we have many employees who have been with us for most, if not all, of their entire careers.
We keep our word. Our customers are part of our BTM family, so when we promise to tackle their challenging project, and find the best possible result, we do it. No excuses. No regrets.
We know our customers have choices when deciding who to work with – we are delighted that so many choose us, again, and again, and again. For over 55 years, we have been the short-run production job shop our customers rely upon to help their businesses grow and succeed.
As innovative thinkers by nature, we are driven to find creative and innovative solutions. Regardless of a project’s limitations, we think outside the box to bring answers and options for every situation.
We not only appreciate our customers, we understand how busy they are – so we work collaboratively to bring their projects across the finish line quickly, accurately and without fail. This is how we show our respect for them, and each other.
By working together our services are so intertwined with our customers’ day-to-day operations we are often considered part of their company – and we consider them part of ours.
As the BTM team continues to grow, the values which have driven our business for the last 55+ years remain unchanged.
Not content with the status quo, we take ongoing skill development and apprentice training seriously – as a result, we have a U.S. Department of Labor registered apprenticeship program.
We believe by providing this supportive environment for our BTM team, along with a desire to find innovative solutions for our customers, we are ready for YOUR next impossible job.
In 1963, Glenn Porter took a chance and started a small machine shop in Cary, IL.
Delighted with his growing business, Glenn moved operations to Woodstock, IL, where he could provide additional machining and metal working solutions to local area industries.
Upon Glenn’s retirement in 1976, his sons Bryan and Tim became the second generation to run the family business. They worked side by side, until Bryan’s retirement in 2009.
Tim’s daughter, Kyra Tillman, returned to the family business in 2013 and in January of 2017, Kyra purchased the business from her father and has become the third generation to proudly own and operate BTM Industries, Inc.
